Schedules, Time and Payroll
Building interoperable, automated and compliant time tracking and pay systems
Led end-to-end design overhaul for TriNet's Schedules, Time and Payroll platforms, which serves all 23,000+ TriNet customers and 500,000+ employees
Problem
The Time and Payroll platforms were built 20+ years ago on legacy architecture and siloed vendor integrations. No native scheduling system existed to unify these tools. This fragmented system created frustration and overhead for customers, directly driving high support costs, negative NPS scores and significant platform attrition.
Outcome
Validated new Time, Schedules and Payroll workflows through three usability studies. The new experiences were generally intuitive to participants, with the majority of the ~20 core tasks receiving 6/7 or 7/7 ease-of-use scores. Research insights were or are currently being integrated into final designs, with long-term product metrics still pending.
